Before and After Microneedling
Why Microneedling?
- Enhance the texture of the skin
- Thickens skin to fill out wrinkles over time
- Helps repair scars
How does it work?
Our SkinPen has 14 tiny needles that penetrate through the epidermis and into the dermal layer of your skin at a frequency of 7,000 times per minute – but don’t worry because we numb your skin! This creates an acute and controlled injury that triggers cell turnover to retexture the skin and the regrowth of collagen and elastin to improve line and wrinkles. Microneedling is sometimes also called collagen induction therapy.
Accelerated serum add-on: If targeting a specific problem, consider upgrading to include a post-procedure accelerated serum to use in the initial days of skin recovery. These Z.O. post-procedure products are specifically tailored to address skin conditions such as redness, pigmentation, or skin laxity. Rozetrol is aimed at improving redness by decreasing inflammation, promoting healthy microvascularization, and protecting nerve endings so your skin cells can more effectively communicate. Firming serum is used to further encourage robust growth of collagen to firm and tighten skin and protect against dermal oxidative stress that destroy the collagen we aim to improve. Lastly, BrightAlive is a non-retinoid, non-hydroquinone serum tailored to block the production of pigment.
PRP add-on: Microneedling can also be coupled with the use of PRP (platelet rich plasma) that enhances results and expedites recovery. Your own blood is drawn and spun down to extract your PRP that contains a high concentration of platelets and growth factors that give your natural healing and collagen production a powerful boost to maximize your results. This is especially helpful to expedite results when treating deep scars or rough texture.
