Services

Inertia Medical offers a wide range of non-surgical solutions for injuries and pain caused by muscle, tendon, ligament, joint, and nerve disorders.
You can learn more about some of the services below.

  • Ultrasound Exams

Ultrasound is used to diagnose many musculoskeletal problems involving nerves, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. It is highly favored in many cases because it provides real-time results, there is no radiation exposure, and image resolution can be superior to MRI for certain regions of the body.

  • Ultrasound-Guided Injections

At Inertia Medical, injections are performed with ultrasound-guidance. The ability to directly visualize needle placement and the location of medication administration enhances safety and efficacy of procedures. Learn More

  • Hyaluronic (Gel) Injections

Hyaluronic Acid is a natural part of joint fluid that helps to lubricate and cushion joints. Hyaluronic (Gel) Injections aim to augment the joint lubrication and cushioning the can be lost as we age and as joints are damaged.

  • Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is a restorative therapy may be used to restart or accelerate healing for a variety of musculoskeletal problems. Here’s how it works:

    • A simple blood draw is performed to collect your blood
    • The blood is spun in a special centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets
    • The platelets are then taken out of the sample and injected back into the site of injury or pain under ultrasound guidance

The platelets in PRP release many different growth factors and other chemicals which may stimulate the natural healing process.

  • Percutaneous Tendon Therapy

Tendons and fascia can become painful as they are damaged and degenerate.  Percutaneous Tenotomy technology allows for damaged and degenerated tissue to be removed from tendons and fascia through a minimally invasive procedure. This technology has been used to decrease pain and improve function in areas such as the elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, and foot.

  • Electromyography (EMG)

Electromyography (EMG) is a diagnostic procedure that is used to assess to the health of muscles and nerves. It can help to identify problems which may cause numbness, tingling, weakness, and pain.

  • Prolotherapy

Proliferation therapy, or prolotherapy, involves the injection of a mild tissue irritant into regions of chronic injury and pain with the intention of stimulating a natural healing response.

  • Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that involves creating a series of acoustic wave pulsations that are directly applied to an injury through a person’s skin. This treatment aims to stimulate healing in the injured area.

  • Dry Needling

Trigger Point Dry Needling is a treatment technique that utilizes tiny needles placed into myofascial trigger points (painful bands of muscle) to reduce pain and improve function.

  • Nerve Blocks

Nerve blocks can be performed for a number of painful conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, occipital neuralgia, meralgia paresthetica, or for pain after hernia repairs or knee surgery.

  • Rehabilitation Exercises

Whenever you are challenged by an injury, muscle tightness, restricted range of motion, or pain, problem-specific exercise is critically important.

  • Functional Training

Whether training to optimize performance in a given sport or to feel great and enhance functional strength, we have got you covered!
